Impact Fee Collection

For 2012, producers were required to submit payment of the Impact Fee to the Commission on or before September1. For each year after 2012, producers must submit payment to the Impact Fee to the Commission on or before April 1.

The Impact Fee paid by each producer is determined by a multi-year fee schedule that is based on the average annual price of natural gas. The Impact Fees also can be adjusted to reflect upward changes in Consumer Price Index if the total number of unconventional wells spud in a given year exceeds the number in the prior year. The amount of money distributed by the Commission is based on the amount of Impact Fees collected. The PUC continually works to ensure that the maximum amount of Impact Fees has been collected prior to distribution.

Impact Fee Payments for Reporting Year 2012 - This list shows all fees paid by each producer, as well as the number of vertical and horizontal wells of each producer subject to the fee.
