Training Certifications for Weatherization Installations & Audits
On March 2, 2010, the Commission entered an order at Docket No. M-2010-2152691 soliciting comments on the current training required by electric and natural gas distribution companies of their employees and contractors who conduct weatherization installations and audits, as well as the impact on the companies’ Low Income Usage Reduction Program (LIURP).
In the order, the Commission also welcomed comments on the impact, both cost and programmatic, of any such change in the training certification on electric distribution companies’ Act 129 plans. Comments were due on April 1, 2010 and reply comments are due on April 21, 2010.
