The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission's Pipeline and Electric Safety Seminar is open to all public utilities and any entity interested in pipeline and electric safety which includes gas producers, pipeline companies, master meter operators and anyone that works on or near electric distribution facilities.

The PA PUC will be offering Professional Development Hours (PDH's) in accordance with the Pennsylvania Engineer, Land Surveyor and Geologist Registration Law.

Cyber Conference
Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Cyber Summit registration
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) Cybersecurity Summit (Cyber Summit) is a free conference intended for regulated utility Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Security Administrators, Regulatory Officers, Technicians, and Commonwealth Agency Representatives who would like to gain more insight into:
The latest cyber threats facing utilities
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Cybersecurity resilience planning
- Cybersecurity auditing and controls
- Risk Management
The conference is scheduled to take place on August 20, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Harrisburg University located at 326 Market St, Harrisburg, PA 17101. The PUC will be providing a complimentary lunch, but participants will need to park at one of the public parking garages located by the university.
To register for the event, please complete the registration form and select which track you would like to attend from the following options:
- Executive Track – The executive track will provide executives with high-level information on the latest cyber security industry best practices, cyber security services provided by the Commonwealth, and how the PUC handles Confidential Security Information (CSI).
- Threat Track – The threat track is intended for CISOs, Security Administrators, and Technical staff who would like to get the latest information on the threats that utilities are facing.
- Technical Track – The technical track is intended for CISOs, Risk Managers, Security Administrators, and Technical Staff that would like to get detailed information on risk management processes, cyber resilience, and why red teaming is essential for finding and fixing vulnerabilities in your IT and OT systems.
- Regulatory Track – The regulatory track is intended for Auditors, Regulatory Officers, Privacy Officers, and Technical Staff who would like to get more information on Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) audits, control frameworks, and auditing best practices for utilities.
